Assets

Overview

Assets are uploaded documents or shared links used to facilitate the exchange of resources and ideas related to Bridge goals. Various file types can be uploaded and downloaded, URLs can be added and viewed.

Add

Assets can be added to a Bridge from within the Assets module by any authorized user (see Permissions). To add an Asset, click the + ADD ASSETS button, then select between File upload and Add link.Screen_Shot_2021-11-09_at_9.49.47_AM.png

File

Clicking + ADD ASSET > File upload, opens the computer file browser.

A file can be selected to begin uploading a file to the Assets module. Many image files include a preview of the image within the Asset card. Valid file types include (but are not necessarily limited to):

  • Images: jpg, jpe, jif, jfif, jfi, jpeg, png, tiff, tif, svg, webp, raw, arw, cr2, nrw, k25, dib, bmp, heif, heic, indd, ind, indt, gif

  • Video: mov, mp4, mp3, wmv, webm, mkv, flv, f4v, f4p, f4a, f4b, vob, gifv, mng, avi, mts, m2ts, ts, qt, rm, rmvb, amv, m4p, m4v, mpg, mp2, mpeg, mpe, mpv, m4v, svi, 3gp

  • Document: pdf, csv, doc, docx, ai, psd, html, htm, odt, sxw, docm, docx, gdoc, md, ott, pages, gslides, ppt, key, keynote

URL

Clicking + ADD ASSET > Add link, opens the Add link modal. A Title and valid URL must be entered in order to save the URL to the Assets module. Video URLs include an embedded version of the video within the Asset card.

Edit

Asset card titles and URLs can be edited by authorized users (see Permissions).

File

File Asset titles can be edited by clicking on the pencil icon at the end of the Asset title (icon appears when hovering over the Asset card). This opens a text entry field with the current title as the default text.

In order to save changes, the ‘enter’ key must be pressed while the text entry field is still focused. Clicking outside the text entry field cancels any changes.Screen_Shot_2021-11-09_at_10.25.53_AM.png

URL

URL Asset titles can be edited by clicking on the pencil icon at the end of the Asset title (icon appears when hovering over the Asset card). This opens a text entry field with the current title as the default text.

Upload Cover Photo

Cover photos can be uploaded for Asset cards that do not have a default preview image by authorized users (see Permissions) from within the Organization that added the Asset of interest (users cannot upload cover photos for Assets from other Organizations).

In order to upload a cover photo, click the three-dot menu and select Upload Cover Image. A file browser will open and a file can be selected.

Reorder

Asset cards can be reordered by clicking and dragging the grid icon at the top center of the Asset card (icon appears when hovering over the Asset card). During the reordering process, all Asset cards that will be moved as a result of the reorder are shifted to their appropriate positions prior to “dropping” the selected Asset card as a preview to the user.

Filter

Asset cards can be filtered by the owner Organization, or by all Organizations included in the bridge. By default, the Asset cards will be filtered based on the Organization of the logged in user.

Delete

Asset cards can be deleted by authorized users (see Permissions) from within the Organization that added the Asset of interest (users cannot delete Assets from other Organizations). Asset cards are deleted by clicking the three-dot menu at the top right of the Asset card and selecting Delete [file] or Remove link.
